I know your response wasn’t addressed to me, but this has been bothering me all day, so I’m going to jump on here, if that’s okay. I may have missed it, but I don’t recall anyone asking you to apologize. I would like to ask you, at this point, though, to please stop lashing out with the insults. You’ve chastised people for fat shaming, and rightly so. You told someone who responded to one of your pieces that he wasn’t entitled to mock, shame, or bully someone because of their size. Again, I agree. But here you are now mocking, shaming, and bullying someone for her *life experience.* Your own story is a difficult one, is it not? And unless I’ve missed something, it seems that Medium is a relatively safe space in which to share it without having to defend yourself from the voiced judgement of people who actually don’t know the first thing about it. Doesn’t Felicia deserve that same relatively safe space?
