the emotional burdens of failure and shame? Are you kidding me? When I decide to boycott something (and cooking was one of those when the nest became empty) I felt this immense sense of relief! and control! It doesn’t take a clinical psychologist to determine that a habit can be broken without a feeling of shame and failure. Own up to it, embrace it and move on….
