Hajj is one of five pillars of Islam and has great importance in Islam, it is obligatory on every Muslim who are physically and financially able to perform hajj at least once in a life. Hajj is performed in the twelfth month of Hijri Calendar and it is the world’s largest gathering of Muslim Hajis that happens once in a year from eighth to twelfth day of Dhu l Hijja.

Hajj starts with Ihram which is a white cloth putting on a special place Miqat, after ihram the pilgrims are not allowed to do certain actions and carried out other rites of Hajj called Manasik Al Hajj which are staying in Arafat, staying in Masjid al Haram, going to Mina, ramy Al-jamarat, Saai between Al-Safa and Al-Marwa, Tawaf al-nisa and its prayers, Tawaf al ziyara and its prayers and sacrifice. At the end a great festive is celebrated called Eid- ul- Adha which reminds the sacrifice of Ibrahim (A.S), if we will sacrifice our wills and goods for the God then we will be rewarded in afterlife.

The first day of Ha begins in Mecca where pilgrims circle the ‘Holy Kabah’ in counter clockwise seven times with supplications of God then do Sai between two hills Al-Safa and Al-Marwa like Hazrat Hara (R.A) do while carrying his son. On the second day after spending night in Mina, the pilgrims are head to the mount Arafat, here is Mountain of mercy or Jabil al Rahma where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) delivered his last sermon, around sunset pilgrims walked to an area called Muzdalifa while collecting pebbles for the symbolic stoning of jamarat back in Mina and in the last three days pilgrims do final circling of Kabah, casting stones in Mina and removing ihram, men often shaved their heads and at the end festive of Eid is celebrated by Muslims around the world and they slaughter animals on the three days of Eid and distribute the meat to poor.

Hajj importance shown from verses; “It is on people for the sake of Allah to perform Hajj of his house, anyone who is able to undertake the journey to him”. “A person who performs Hajj purifies himself from sins like the day that he was born”.
