We have been working on a massive change to our bounty program for quite a while and just released the information about it at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2898738.0. Please check the link to find all the details about the rules and rewards!

How does it work

To participate in our new Gamer Bounty you will have to take screenshots while playing your favourite games. After that you have to share those screenshots with your friends using either Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the #Vreo and send us a link to your post. There is a total pool of 16 000 000 MERO (1 MERO = $0.05 in our token sale) to be claimed in this bounty campaign, that are split evenly between the leaderboard and general activity.

The leaderboard will give different rewards based on the tier you placed in (Top 100 will earn 15 000 MERO each, 101–500 will earn 5 000 MERO each and so on).

For the general activity you will simply earn MERO according to the percentage of your contributions in relation to the total contributions. The formula for earned MERO is: [personal points earned] / [total points earned] x 8 000 000 MERO.

Why we are changing the way our bounty program works

First of all our old bounty campaign wasn’t very successful, we didn’t get a lot of real traction from it as the number of participants was fairly low and mostly consisted of accounts stuffed via followback or similar means. We also wanted to focus on involving gamers more, as they are (and will always be) a vital part of our community. So we thought of different campaigns that were gaming-related, interesting to participate in and incorporate various Social Media to get us more reach. The idea of creating a leaderboard and offering rewards based on standing came up to cater to the competitiveness that is inherent in a lot of gamers.

Why manual reports after using automated tracking software

Unfortunately we ran into a lot of problems with our bounty software, that prevented us from tracking several tasks. Those problems include continuous API changes, changes to the rules about ICO-advertising and GDPR amongst others. Because of those problems we will unfortunately require manual reports for future tasks, as well as some of the old ones. Keeping the tool updated and working around restrictions such as the ICO-advertising ban on Facebook just wasn’t feasible anymore. We also added a new team member to focus solely on Bounty Management!

If you are interested in participating please check the exact rules at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2898738 and start your gaming session to set yourself up for a high ranking!

Good luck and have fun Bounty Hunters!
