When people challenge my body, in the teacher role, as they sometimes do with words or glances, I give them another chance. I smile and maintain eye contact and remain in my full humanity as they question my validity.

When I was in yoga teacher training, my biggest fear was (and sometimes still is!) the unspoken words, glances, and smirks of disbelief that *I* — a fat person — would dare to teach yoga. I absolutely love your response to this, to “remain in [your] full humanity.” Putting this on my mirror!
