What’s in a hello?

Your hello was the gateway drug to our

Friendship.

It was a gateway drug to

Dependency.

His hello led to a bad acid trip,

Filled with all my fears turning into

Reality.

Her hello led to xanax induced

Dreams,

So peaceful even the yogis would

Appreciate it.

There were other hellos,

Each with their individual effect on

Me,

And each with their many many

Side- effects on me.

I have loved most of the hellos that

Have come my way

But there are some that I wish were

Just

Always goodbyes.
