It can definitely be a competitive advantage. If you can offer a service or a product (be that number crunching, transferring goods to space, storing data, assembling cars or selling furniture) at half or one tenth of the cost of your competition, then this is definitely your competitive advantage. I don’t refer to cutting your profit or operating at loss, but to business or technical innovation that allows you to lower prices at a profit.
