Ancient Egypt, pyramids and archaeological finds that are difficult to explain. A lot of fakes, outright manipulations, and even fakes. Endless books, popular films, and a lack of verified data. The first mythical pharaohs are known only from the legends of the Middle and New Kingdoms.
What can you do — Egyptologists need to look for answers to uncomfortable questions. And to offer such explanations so that they are not replaced by amateurs. “Alternative” researchers, of course, should not be allowed to conduct research. But this will not solve the problem of the lack of knowledge about ancient Egypt, the beginning of human civilisation.
Despite decades of fierce debate, we have not seen any dialogue between scholars. Joint conferences, symposia, and expeditions are not even planned.
