The Bauhaus was a creative movement in the roaring 1920-ies in Germany. It tapped this exuberant, emotional epoch to merge aesthetics, engineering and crafts into a unique worldview — The Bauhaus.
The Blockchain is a creative movement in the roaring 2010-s worldwide. It tapped the sentiment of the 2007–2008 financial crisis to merge linked timestamping, Byzantine fault tolerance, encryption and BitGold into a unique asset — Bitcoin.
Both Bauhaus and Bitcoin eclipsed their immediate environment and evolved into something far bigger.
The Blockchain Bauhaus is my exploration of how and where these two are affecting each other. A view from Berlin.
