The Ideas of Matias De Stefano
I’ve listened to many hours of the Audrey Marcus and Matias De Stefano podcasts. Matias gives an explanation of reality and of creation in a way I haven’t heard before. He is refreshing and novel, and in my opinion, nearing the Mount Rushmore of modern day story-tellers. I’ve broken his ideas down into 3 parts: Dimensions, Earth and Light. Please enjoy.
Dimensions
After the big bang the 1st thing that appeared was a dot. The dot wasn’t aware, it didn’t know it existed so it replicated itself (like looking into a mirror). But it can never be sure what it’s looking at is real. Enter the3rd dot, giving it a different perspective.
The interplay between 1, 2 and 3 was the birth of consciousness. It was the first shape, the first shift, the first motion. It can be found everywhere, from the proton, neutron and electron that make up an atom. To the hydrogen, hydrogen, oxygen water molecules that make us. To the sun, moon, earth. Past, present, future. Height, width, depth. The list goes on.
3 fractalized into 6, then 9, then 12, and so on — this pattern repeated itself across the entire universe; creating everything that we see today: the 3rd dimension.
Earth
Matias also claims that we’re cells in something that is much greater than us. The cells in our body are not aware of what they’re a part of, but each plays a vital role. This thing that we’re all a part of: some of us are brain cells, some are heart cells and some will have to work in the intestines. All 8 billion of us, each with our own unique purpose on this big blue planet we call Earth.

A memory cell travelling through space can be a nice thought experiment. Imagine you’re travelling through the Milky Way, you zip by Pluto, escape Jupiter’s gravity and out in the distance you spot a little blue planet — with a sun to provide you warmth and a moon to help guide you at night. So you decided to stop here. This is where you decided to take a rest. This is where you decided to build our house, so that we can all bask in the great glory of the sun.
Light
The human race is a distortion of the light. Male and female are distortions of the positive and the negative, the light and the dark. Genders only exist here on Earth, because mammals have 1 father and 1 mother (1 sun and 1 moon). If we had woken up in another galaxy, we might’ve had 2 dads or 10 moms. If we grew up on Jupiter, then 53 uncles.
Matias also claims that we should eat foods that are filled with light. If we consume the animals that eat the fruits, vegetables or nuts — it will distort the light. To become enlightened you must get it from the source, direct and uninterrupted.
Summary
It’s as if these ideas were something I already knew, but had forgotten. Matias has helped me connect the dots (pun intended) on many fundamental stories.
The teachings of every story are the same, but we can’t just tell it over and over again. Why? Because it has to be particularized for the time or it will just be passed as common knowledge. The origin story is a prime example of this, it must be made for modernity, and I think Matias has done just that.
The heart needs to work with the brain or we will die. Information passed from the head to the toe must not be distorted in any way. The message must be direct and uninterrupted. So that we can all play fair in this big game of telephone we call life.
