About me — Varun Suchday — Copy editor, travel writer and photographer
I am Varun, a long-term slow traveler. I spend months on the road to dive deep into countries and cultures. I am a travel writer and photographer focused on mapless places, indigenous cultures, climate change, conflict zones, rare drinks, and wildlife.
I have traveled to 5 continents, 48 countries, 24 states, 5 wonders of the world, and 101 UNESCO sites. I spent one year in South America, six months in Central America, three in the Balkans, three in West Africa, two in Central Asia, three between Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, and Jordan, and one in Indonesia. I speak 8.5 languages.
