German automobiles are known for two things; performance and reliability. And as you may (or may not) know, Volkswagen has the highest number of cars on the road with over 100,000 miles. As proud as we are to be a premier Massachusetts Volkswagen Dealer, we become ecstatic whenever we hear stories about the vehicles we sell, exceeding our loyal customer’s expectations. Below is an account of a loyal customer of ours, his name is Dave. Several years ago he came to us to purchase a certified pre owned Volkswagen and what his Passat wagon was able to achieve simply floored us. Here is Dave’s Account:

“Dear VW of North Attleboro

300 000 mile clutch!!! I stopped in for an oil change today and when I had to tell the oil change tech at valvoline 3 times the Mileage on my 2001 Passat wagon it occurred to me I should share my Volkswagen story and thank you for my remarkable car. As I stated I have a 2001 Passat wagon I bought as a certified pre owned with 32 000 miles on it from VW of North Attleboro. Its now at 304 474 miles, it still has the original engine but what’s truly remarkable is it still has the original clutch! Mind you I work construction and have used this for working in and around Boston, carrying tools as well as other construction materials that will fit. This car has earned these miles close to half of its driving hours have been spent driving in and around Boston and Boston area traffic and I don’t drive slow. This car may be ending its life with me as it is due for a timing belt and with other work it may be cheaper to replace than fix but I thought you might want to know that at least in my experience this has been the best car I have ever owned and am likely to ever own. In all my time owning it there has been very little its needed beyond normal wear and it has been incredibly dependable.
