It’s that time of the year again! Time for us to make other people do what we do for ourselves everyday, buy us little treats! We decided to come together and create our joint wishlist for the 2021 holiday season. It includes things that we already own and use on a daily basis, as well as things we are asking for or have gifted to others. Let’s get into yuh, here are a few of our favorite things:

Clothes

Outdoor Voices Exercise Dress

Christina is obsessed with her Outdoor Voices dress. It is super comfortable and functional, while also being effortlessly cute. Not just for working out, this dress can be worn casually for almost any occasion or dressed up for a date night. If you are looking for a more inexpensive option, check out the Aerie (which Lydia owns) or Halara dupes.

Puffer Coat

Even though we think you do not need to own one of these if you live in the south because you will literally never use it, it is still nice to have one just in case of a northern expedition. Short, brightly colored puffer coats like this one from Zara are everywhere this winter. They are definitely a must have if you live somewhere where it is not 75 degrees in the dead of winter.

American Eagle Mom Jeans

A CLASSIC, American Eagle jeans have been with us through it all and they still hold up. Christina is feeling these ripped, black mom jeans and Lydia prefers the curvy, non-ripped version.

Aerie Crossover Yoga Pants

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know these are being called “flared leggings,” but we just refuse to refer to them as such. Aerie has pretty much gone overboard with the whole crossover thing, but oh well we’re here for it sorry. Lydia is asking for these crossover yoga pants to upgrade from her current Walmart yoga pants with a whole in the crotch , to add to her crossover leggings and crossover bike shorts.

Free People “Hot Shot” Onesie

This is the most comfortable piece of clothing Christina has ever worn. You can dress the “Hot Shot” Onesie up with a turtle neck or wear it to the gym with a sports bra and it still looks good. We know it looks really dorky but it actually is very flattering on everyone and looks good even on us short people.

Free People “The Way Home” Shorts

These shorts went viral on TikTok last summer and Christina never looked into them because she assumed they would be too expensive. However, at $30, “The Way Home” Shorts cost about the same as a pair of Nike shorts and are much more flattering. The big waistband makes her feel more comfortable wearing a longline sports bra or crop tank top, because she doesn’t like showing her midsection when she goes out.

Girlfriend Collective Bra

Everything this sustainable brand makes is GOLD. Yeah it’s a little on the pricier side, but it’s totally worth it for the quality and environmental impact. Lydia swears by this Dylan Tank Bra in Ivory and owns the exact set on the model. It can be worn causally while running errands or going out and all of their bras and tops offer great support for women with larger chest sizes.

Roxy Cynthia x Rowley Spring Suit

This is definitely a niche item, but if you know someone who snorkels or scuba dives a lot, it is a great gift. The Roxy x Cynthia Rowley Spring Suit has a super cute pattern and keeps you comfortable in the water, especially for someone like Christina who likes to do a lot of activities in the water, but doesn’t want to feel super exposed. Its also great for sun protection!

Lulu Lemon Align Tank

These are ridiculously expensive tank tops, so Christina waited forever to get one. After owning a Lulu Lemon Align Tank of her own she has to say… the dupes do not compare. She purchased probably 3 different align tank dupes and they are not nearly as soft or well made. They also have a pretty good range of sizes when in the store, contrary to what we have always seen on social media.

SKIMS Essential Mock Neck Bodysuit

If you know Lydia, you know she is an absolute sl*t for a turtleneck and this bodysuit from SKIMS is a dream come true. Its not just fashion, it’s shapewear and you don’t have to worry about constantly re-tucking it into your pants. Its also perfect for layering and is flattering on literally everyone.

The Comfy

This is the only ridiculous blanket product we are in support of. Obviously it seems like a distant cousin of the Snuggie, but we think The Comfy is much better. It fits like a giant hoodie and the fabric is incredibly soft. This would be a great gift for anyone and comes in a variety of colors. Also, it is just as soft after going in the washer which is important to Christina because she washes her’s often.

“Succession” Waystar Royco Sweatshirt

If for some reason you feel so inclined to represent the most terrible family in television history, look no further than this Waystar Royco sweatshirt from Etsy. Lydia is obsessed with Succession and will probably end up wearing this inappropriately often.

Shoes & Accessories

Ugg Slippers

Lydia has been wanting a pair of Ugg slides for years and she finally snagged some. She opted for the Oh Fluffita Slipper in natural because of the platform and the fact that she is able to wear them outside the house. Another top contender is the bestselling Scuffete II and the very popular Classic Mini Boot II.

Hoka Running Shoes

These are the best running/walking shoes Christina has ever owned. They have a ton of cushion in the heel so if you don’t like that, maybe avoid… but she got these because her knees and feet would hurt after working all day and they really help. Christina owns the Rincon 3s and is hoping to get the Cliftons soon.

Birkenstock Clogs

Those ugly shoes we all wore in elementary school are back and Lydia wears this pair of Birkenstock Clogs literally everywhere. Not only are the “in” this season, but they’re very convenient and super comfortable with or without socks.

Chunky Loafers

Loafers are all the rage this year, specifically these chunky, 70’s inspired one’s from ASOS. Lydia added these to her wishlist because of their vintage vibe and their height boost.

Islander Hat

She’s an island girllll and she’s been trying to make it. This is another “TikTok made me buy it” purchase, but Christina really likes this Islander Hat. It is high quality and looks cool on the beach without making her look like a mom in a big sunhat. It is definitely an acquired taste, but Sunday Afternoon hats have lots of cool hats that provide sun protection. This one is SPF 50 which is great when you burn easily like us.

Havva Cool Girls Cap

If you have a little sister who is a freshmen in college and has not slept at all during finals week and even got diagnosed with gingivitis because of too much caffeine (or maybe a friend who is a grad student), this is the perfect gift for them! Lydia is giving this hat to her sister for Christmas because her sister is the ultimate California cool girl who does not sleep.

Hey Harper Waterproof Jewelry

Our resident Marine Biologist to be is obsessed with this waterproof jewelry brand. If you too are tired of green and tarnished jewelry from idk, literally just washing your hands, Hey Harper is a must have.

Fjallraven Kanken Mini Backpack

Christina already have the biggest Fjallraven Kanken backpack for school because she has a big laptop, but she wanted a smaller one to serve as her purse since she just prefers backpacks to purses. The Fjallraven Kanken Mini bag is so cute and incredibly durable. Christina’s larger one has been through a lot this year and doesn’t have a single mark or stain on it. It is also very light weight and comes in a lot of cute colors, acorn being her favorite.

Telfar Mini Bag

This is actually just a dream item for Lydia, she will not be getting it for Christmas, but will hopefully one day be able to afford a Telfar Mini Bag. They are currently all sold out, but you can definitely find them for resale online.

Lulu Lemon Everywhere Belt Bag

This is something Christina does not yet own, but asked for this Christmas. The Everywhere Belt Bag is a super cute bag and complements an athleisure fit well. It seems to have the utility of a typical fanny pack without looking quite so dorky. Plus, it’s a great price for LuLu Lemon.

Starbucks Tumblers

To us, these are accessories and they are camp. Although, you really kind of have to go in person to your local Starbucks to get these holiday collection tumblers, unless you want to buy from scalpers online. Lydia has the lilac, matte, studded one pictured above and Christina has this green gradient one you can add to your next coffee order.

Taylor Swift Merch

Literally how could we make a wishlist without including our queen. Whether you’re feeling 2022 or are tossing the car keys, f*ck the patriarchy, Tayla’s merch site has got all of the Swifties covered this holiday season.

Self-Care

Revlon One Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer

This thing is all over TikTok and is apparently a must have for anyone who wants an effortless blowout, which, come on who doesn’t? It is on both of our lists and it makes a great gift for your hard to shop for mom.

Fenty Gloss Bomb

Its everyone’s favorite billionaire’s iconic lip gloss, but in a gift set perfect for the holidays. It is also Lydia’s go-to lip gloss and the one makeup thing she lets herself splurge on.

Covergirl Skin Milk

Speaking of splurging on makeup, this foundation is a splurge that doesn’t make your pockets hurt. Both of us have been using Covergirl Skin Milk since the day it dropped and it is everything to us. It is lightweight with buildable coverage, clean, cruelty free, and it smells great.

Our Skincare Routines

Ok this is a big one. We can now reveal every product we use in our skincare routines and they are linked below:

Lydia (Oily-Combo, Acne Prone)

Versed Daily Dissolve Cleansing Balm, CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner (PM), The Ordinary Buffet Serum (AM), The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum, CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizer (PM), CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizer (AM), Hero Mighty Patch (as needed), Hero Rescue Balm (as needed)

Christina (Oily)

CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum, The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Facial Moisturizer (stinky), Bliss Vitamin C Moisturizer, Starface Hydro Stars (as needed)

Bittersweet Saturday Candles

Yayyyy, we love supporting friends! As heard on our podcast, Bittersweet Saturday Co. is a sustainable candle company with candles made from 100% soy wax and natural, essential oils. Our favorite is the bestselling Honeysuckle Nectar scent. Support small business!

Hatch Restore Alarm Clock

Neither of us own this clock, but both of us have used lots of Hatch baby products with family and in nannying jobs and it is a great brand. This Restore Alarm Clock uses light and natural sounds to wake you up slowly instead of relying on a typical phone alarm clock. You can modify all of the settings on an app that it connects to and it even has guided evening meditations. It is definitely pricey but Christina was forced to become a morning person this year for graduate school, so she needs anything that will make that process easier.

Tushy Bidet

Are we even a real podcast if we’re not pushing the Tushy Bidet? Lydia has had hers for almost a year now and will never go back. Bidets should be on every toilet in every bathroom. Wash your a$$.

Peloton Membership

Is there someone in your life over 55 with heart issues you want to unalive? KIDDING omg that’s so bad. Actually, Peloton is awesome and if you can’t afford the bike, the classes are the next best thing. Heart complications run in both of our families though so we will be using with caution.
