The beginning

Hello world, there is something you should know:
At the age of 28, having tried everything else, I am quitting my job in order to fulfill a persistent dream of mine: I am founding a company that sets out to revolutionize the way we interact with strangers.
It’s a long story and I will get to it in time. But let me first tell you why I am launching this blog. Starting a company is certainly the most difficult thing I have done in my life. It is challenging every cell of my body. I am aware that it’s an insane decision and that objectively speaking I am not ready for this. But at the same time, for me it’s the best way to grow. There is nothing more rewarding than getting a little closer every day towards my vision for a better world. It is the most fulfilling and exciting thing I can imagine for myself and that is why I am doing it. I want to share this excitement with you.
While the aim of my business is clear, at this point the actual product is still evolving. There are two prototypes, but in this blog I do not just want to talk about their development. Instead I want to take you along on the entire entrepreneurial journey — wherever it ends up taking me. I will talk about the long and twisted back story of the ideas I am pursuing. I will share the insights and observations that lead me further on this path. And — as the story unfolds — you will become witness to my successes, diversions and failures. I hope there will be a happy ending so that, in addition to the guaranteed entertainment, the whole thing can inform, inspire and encourage future generations of entrepreneurs.

Writing does not come easy to me. But I know that I have to practice communicating my ideas if I want them to change the world. Also it helps me in understanding them more clearly myself. And lastly, the blog is meant to be a way of attracting early adopters, collaborators and critics: People who are interested in the problems that I observe, understand the value of my proposed solutions, want to start using them or contribute to making them better.
I am a somewhat spiritual person and through my experience I have come to believe that magic happens when you follow your purpose. Since I am sure that this is my purpose I view everyone who comes along on this path as god-sent. I am grateful for everyone who takes the time to enter my thoughts through these words.

But real progress only happens when I get challenged. So please, whenever you disagree or react to something I write, throw it out to me without thinking twice. Conversation is a most powerful tool for learning. In fact this is the core belief that my business will be built on. But that is for the next posts to explain.
Thank you for reading. I hope to have you by my side.
