4th & Broadway: When Tower Records was Church
David Chiu

Yeah… I bought a cassette there the weekend it opened, when my Dad wouldn’t let me walk downtown by myself and wouldn’t stop embarrassing me. And that was where I went to wait on line the day that Pearl Jam’s Vs. came out. I probably spent a zillion other afternoons/evening there when I was stalling from going home to study, facing my parents, or facing my husband. Even if it didn’t sell random old records for $1 like Sounds on 8th St, Tower was where we went for what we really needed.
