Google’s AI Chatbot “Bard” Can Generate Images — Well… Kinda

I have been given the chance to try Google’s new, yet not so new language model that is based on Google’s LaMDA.

Bard is labeled as an “experiment” and has its unique web address. It is not integrated into the search engine like Microsoft’s Bing AI.

And it makes sense, a major source of revenue comes from its search engine so the company is cautious about how to keep that source of income.

Before we begin, let's do a quick recap of the AI storyline:

  • hatGPT was released by OpenAI in November 2022. It gained popularity quickly, reaching 1 million users in 5 days.
  • Google’s co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were concerned about ChatGPT and issued a “Code Red” in December 2022.
  • Microsoft had previously invested in OpenAI and through their partnership, they released Bing AI in February 2023.
  • In February, Google releases an Ad about Bard where it showed inaccurate information.

And now… we are here in March, with Google starting to roll out their AI chatbot “Google Bard”, and recently, OpenAI…
