I agree with you. But is it a bad thing that AngularJS has its own utilities to get things done? We’re not limited to them and can use any other libraries with the framework as well as new features that came with ES6.

Trying to solve everything at once is always a challenge and I think AngularJS had some success. Obviously now we have better approaches, but AngularJS is still in the game.
