We are thrilled to announce a powerful addition to the WAGMI Games advisory board — Ed Del Castillo, the Founder of Liquid Entertainment and the visionary behind several Command & Conquer titles, has officially come on board as our strategic advisor!

Ed is more than just the founder of a successful gaming studio; he’s a pioneering force who transformed the landscape of strategy games. His innovation, incorporating advanced mechanics and high-res graphics that were ahead of their time, spearheaded a complete revolution in the gaming industry.

Working alongside Ed is an honor, and together, we aim to revolutionize the gaming industry once again. His wealth of experience will be integral to infusing our blockchain-based titles with the same level of expertise that has consistently produced fun, unique, and challenging strategy games.

Known for his impactful contributions at Westwood Studios, Ed served as the producer behind the original Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert. As the primary creative and managerial force, he oversaw the creation, design, and production of these genre-defining games, which went on to receive some of the most well awarded titles in gaming history.

Command & Conquer, the iconic strategy game series, stands as a towering pillar in the gaming industry, with millions of devoted fans worldwide.

Ed’s outstanding vision and work behind these titles have made him a well-published figure in the industry.

As the founder, president, and Chief Creative Officer of Liquid Entertainment, Ed’s first game, Battle Realms, published in 2001, garnered critical acclaim for its unconventional approach to resource management and unit development in a real-time strategy PC game. Nominated as the Best PC strategy game of 2002 by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, Battle Realms was also selected for Computer Gaming World’s Top 10 Games of E3 2001.

Battle Realms, masterfully crafted by Ed Del Castillo and Liquid Entertainment, not only revolutionized real-time strategy gameplay but garnered widespread acclaim, solidifying its status as an ideal contemporary real-time strategy title.

Over its 15+ years in business, Liquid Entertainment, under Ed’s leadership, has released multiple next-gen console titles, as well as mobile, social, and casual games that received critical acclaim. These titles include intellectual properties such as The Lord of the Rings, ABC’s Desperate Housewives, Marvel Comics’ Thor, and the Dungeons & Dragons series.

Liquid Entertainment left an indelible mark on the gaming industry with its acclaimed title Battle Realms, released in November 2001.

In his role as an advisor, Ed will work closely with our CGO Luis Trujillo and LPM Esteban Gil. Together, they will not only supercharge the franchise’s first title, WAGMI Defense, ahead of its global release but also initiate the production of more titles. These titles are not only set to disrupt the monotony of current web3 games but also make waves in the web2 gaming industry through the integration of blockchain technology and exploration of digital asset ownership.

“I’m really thrilled to be working with one of the OG’s of RTS,” says Luis Trujillo. “It’s really personal for me because Command & Conquer was one of the games that got me through a lot growing up so tag teaming with Ed to make this studio even better, specifically WAGMI Defense, is going to be special.”

Stay tuned for more Press Releases and announcements as we are approaching a very exciting Q4 and Q1 for WAGMI Games!

And remember… We’re All Gonna Make It!
