WAGMI Games GENESIS NFT V2 Relaunch (What You Need To Do)

A few months ago, Opensea, along with other NFT marketplaces, made creator royalties optional unless they were enforced in the NFT contract.

This change has affected virtually all projects in the industry, as most NFT projects rely on secondary trading taxes to fund further development and marketing.

To address this problem, the best solution is to redeploy the contract and enforce creator royalties as an integral part of the contract. While this may not have been feasible for most projects due to the reset of collection stats, we have received permission from Opensea to relaunch the contract while retaining ALL our stats, including trading volume.

(The only alternative would be to dilute the collection by minting more Genesis NFTs or launch a second collection, an option we are unwilling to pursue as it goes against our commitment to our loyal community of holders and believers.)

When Is The Relaunch & What It Will Look Like

The contract has already been redeployed, and the collection is now live. This relaunch does not alter the utility of the collection or any of the existing stats. We are maintaining the same trading volume, utility, and analytics as before.

How To Migrate To The New Contract

To migrate to the new contract, follow these simple steps:

For Desktop:

1. Visit our WAGMI Dashboard and connect your wallet.
2. Once connected, you’ll find a “Claim” button. Click on it.
3. The number of V1 Genesis NFTs that are held in your wallet will determine the quantity you can claim. The process is automated, so everything will happen automatically.
4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet and the V2 Genesis NFTs should be in your wallet. (slight gas fee required)

For Mobile:

1. Open your wallet’s browser (Metamask, Trust, Coinbase etc etc).
2. Paste and search the following link into the browser search bar: https://www.wagmigamesapp.com/genesis-claiming
3. Click on “Connect Wallet”.
4. Once connected, you’ll find a “Claim” button. Click on it.
5. Confirm the transaction in your wallet and the V2 Genesis NFTs should be in your wallet. (slight gas fee required)

It’s important to note that the contract upgrade tool will be available indefinitely. There is no time limit for claiming your V2 Genesis NFTs.
