MediaTek Dimensity 1200 is the latest chipset from MediaTek which was released in January 2021. This chipset also uses a 5 nm fabrication process, which makes it more efficient and powerful. This chipset also supports sub-6 GHz 5G networks, thanks to the integrated MediaTek M70 5G modem.

The Dimensity 1200 has an octa-core CPU consisting of one Cortex-A78 core with a speed of 3 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores with a speed of 2.6 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores with a speed of 2 GHz. This CPU is claimed to have a performance increase of up to 22% compared to the Dimensity 1000+. This chipset also has a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which is claimed to have a performance increase of up to 13% compared to the Mali-G77 MC7.

Apart from that, Dimensity 1200 also has other superior features such as APU 3.0 which supports AI processing up to 12.5 TOPS, Imagiq 6.0 ISP which supports cameras up to 200 MP, and HyperEngine 3.0 which supports gaming features such as ray tracing, HDR, and 168 Hz refresh rate.
