Just Start
New work and task means nothing if you love being in your comfort zone. I would not exaggerate this by saying that my task was very difficult to achieve but in order to get something done you always face a little bit of distraction in any way. Everything starts with you, just defeat your prolong procrastination start work and let the new things teach you.
‘’The secret of getting things done is to act!
~Dante Alighier
Talking about myself, I just landed into my final year which is considered as next level grind for a medical student because you must multitask on each day; thesis, clinical rotations, presentations, back to back classes and what not. I really wanted to get rid off this routine by doing stuff which I love the most: Painting, yup I love to paint and for me painting is some sort of catharsis and I always felt so liberating. From the past so many days, I was thinking to paint something but due to my annoying schedule and a pinch of laziness I was unable to achieve my goal, so I gradually adjusted to this routine and indulge myself more into my regular things and almost gave up on the idea to paint.
I am currently enrolled in a prestigious institution for a fellowship program and when this project was assigned to me the first thing which came to my mind was to ‘’paint’’ and yes, I did. And when I did, I understand the value of passion and interest that brings smile to your face no matter how sad and worried you are.

The immense happiness that I felt after doing what I really wanted to, is beyond explanation and now I have prepared my mind that I’ll continue to paint no matter how tough my schedule is going to be. I felt so nostalgic while painting because this reminded me of my good old times when things were not that messed up and I was a child free of care, lost in her own world.

‘’Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life’’
~Pablo Picasso
And writing this blog, I am so thankful to Amal, due to this project I was able to achieve what I really wanted to. I just started doing this and get myself so much absorbed into this and get my project done. There will always be people who continue to tell you that you cannot do this you cannot do that but the best way is to ignore them and start doing what you are really passionate about. What we need to do is that opt for is to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear and continue to walk till you reach your destiny.

“Got an idea to start”, “Thinking to start” and “Making a commitment to start” is one aspect of life.
Actually “Starting” what you truly want to do in life, is a completely different ball game.”
