Inventory Tracking

Problem statement:

In my workplace often a problem arises that the stock inventory does not match will the actual stock figures, thus giving a major loss to the company’s distributor. In a typical distribution, ordering and pallet racking is mostly manual, labor-intensive, and expensive operation. Companies tend to focus less on this area because they sell an entire territory to a third party distributor. If company pays proper attention to this scenario it will give a positive affect to the distributor as well as the company.

Solution:

Automation of the inventory system using RFID technology which will automatically count the stock on floor and the pieces in a carton. RFID will be integrated with the current with the current SAP running in the company. In this way the distributors will be connected with the parent company and the management of the company will also have the option to view the stocks anytime they want. This is the way we can stop the error of missing stock, which can cost the distribution a lot of loss if not addressed properly.
