GREAT article! At one time, there was a mind set in the medical profession…one could not expect a healthy patient without a caring medical practitioner attending to their needs, and there could not be a healthy medical practice without an effective system in place to balance the care and financial implications of providing the quality required to ensure positive outcomes for both patients and clinicians. The U.S. consistently falls short on this…another reason why I say health care was never meant to be a “for-profit” endeavor…just such a slippery slope to get rich off of a human’s illness.
