Afterthoughts… (gender roles)

Sometimes.

men want to curl into the fetal position, in a dark room, under the blanket & just cry, eat chocolate while black & white movies play on the wall, sending all their calls go to voice mail because, “not now”, just “not today, please.”

Sometimes.

women want to beat punching bags, put holes in the wall w their karate kick, go home rip the basement stairs apart with mallett and a automatic saw, only to put it back together, one day. instead of cry. because, “bring it! i can handle this.”

Sometimes.

people need to express their extremes. and they are limited to expression by gender roles. most humans are equally combined of both the masculine and feminine. we are capable. we are allowed.

Sometimes.

people are operating in fear. in anger. because they cannot emote in a way their body tells them they should be able to.

gender is cosmetic.

it does not define who you truly are. just how you look & in some places, which restroom you must use.

gender is cosmetic.

Maybe.

we all need to change our make-up. to feel. more than this. to feel. free. to truly love. whomever. and self.
