Collaborative Education
Educationalists and practitioners have long emphasised the importance of creative learning in the early development of children. They summarised the significance of collaborative learning and its impact on children’s ability to communicate effectively during the process. If we go back in time, the founders of Google, Watson and Crick, worked on collaborative computer labs that have since grown into the world’s largest platform.
High-level thinking is said to be achieved by collaborative learning teams, allowing information to be retained for longer periods of time than individual learning. Collaborative learning provides a forum for participants to debate, ask questions, clarify ideas, and evaluate information shared. This increases the amount of knowledge and information shared. This knowledge will be stored in long-term memory.
Teaching children how to collaborate and learn creates vast experiences of learning the things interacting with the fellow mates. It is an excellent way to develop a fluid class room that builds confidence in children as learners.
