Clutter-busting strategy #3: Get Help!

That might mean hiring someone to hold open those huge plastic bags while you throw away old magazines and newspapers you’re saving in case you need that article. When I couldn’t bring myself to throw out my New Yorkers, I went through 7 years’ worth of accumulated issues and tore off the covers for my collage projects. I saved all the short stories for my fiction collection and threw the rest away. It was a mindless and relaxing activity, and it allowed me to reduce the contents of three bookshelves by 85%!
