Fortunately Walnut Creek,CA is known for it’s scenic landscapes and is often referred to as the jewel of the East Bay in large part due to its aesthetics. Walnut Creek is a picturesque location which is perfect for any family photo shoot, engagement shoot, portrait shoot, and professional headshot session.

From Our Experience We Highly Recommend These Top Photo Locations:

The Gardens at Heather Farms -1540 Marchbanks Dr, Walnut Creek, CA 94598

A permit is required to shoot here and costs $40, however this location is run by a non-profit and is a gorgeous location with well manicured lawns, a cherished rose garden, and beautiful view of the lake at Heather Farm Park. Almost any location at the gardens is beautiful and you just can’t go wrong.

Sugarloaf Open Space — 2161 Youngs Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94596

Sugarloaf features plenty of golden hills and walking paths that lends itself to the “California Lite” style of photography we are know for in this are with a bright white sky and soft rolling golden hills.

Old Borges Ranch — 1035 Castle Rock Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598 rounds out our top three with some beautiful valleys, antique farm equipment, and even a petting zoo for the kids. You could easily spend the entire day exploring here in the northeast part of Walnut Creek, near Mt. Diablo and Concord.
