Glad to be heading back to the Tulare World Ag Expo in February!

I am excited to share that Western Growers will be attending the World Ag Expo in Tulare from February 8–10, 2022. After a year off, the Expo is back and Western Growers will have a booth in the Corteva building that we are sharing with some of the startups that we work with in the Western Grower Center for Innovation and Technology (WGCIT) in Salinas. If you have been to the World Ag Expo previously, you know what to expect — tens of thousands of attendees all looking for the latest innovation solutions that can help them improve the economics and/or efficiencies of their operation. If you have not been, think of World Ag Expo (WAE) as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for AgTech.

Just like CES is for electronics, WAE is becoming a primary launch event for many new and updated AgTech products and partnerships. I have talked to over 5 AgTech startups that are planning on official launches for new products or significant upgrades in Tulare. Long term, I think this trend will provide some strong tailwinds for WAE going forward. If you’re the place companies launch products at, attendance usually increases (that is in fact exactly how CES got to be so big — and if you like seeing the latest in consumer electronics, you have to go at least once …)
