1. TIGER FALLS

2. ROBBER’S CAVE
Also known as Guchhupani, this 600m long river cave is a must visit destination in Dehradun. It is known as Robber’s Cave because the robbers used it as a hideout during British Raj. It is divided into two parts with the center being a fort like structure and a 10m high fall. Robber’s Cave is known for a unique phenomenon known as the ‘disappearing stream’ in which a stream of water suddenly disappears underground, only to be discovered a few yards away.

3. TAPKESHWAR TEMPLE
Located at the banks of Nandi river, Tapkeshwar temple is the oldest Shiva temple in Uttarakhand. The temple was named Tapkeshwar because water continuously drips on the Shivling placed there. Thousands of devotees visit the temple every year to pay homage to Lord Shiva.

4. MALSI DEER PARK
Spread over an area of 25 hectares, Malsi Deer Park, also known as Dehradun Zoo is a must visit destination for any wildlife lover. As the name clearly suggests, it is the best place in Dehradun to spot a Deer in its natural habitat. Nilgai and two horned Deer are also found in the park besides many other animals. It is a great family picnic hotspot.

5. MINDROLLING MONASTERY
Mindrolling Monastery is one of the six monasteries of Nyingma School of Buddhism built by Khochen Rinpoche in 1965. The monastery is a true piece of art and contains the world’s tallest Stupa which rises to a height of 60m. There is also a Buddha Garden with a giant Buddha statue that keeps a watchful eye over the monastery.
