The reality is that it’s fairly easy for police and private security to kill you or make you wish you were dead if they choose to. This is politically feasible because middle and upper class whites are generally not targeted by this authorized abuse. The hired guns are only required to be “preacher’s kid polite”. Meaning, if it becomes widely known they abused somebody (it usually doesn’t), they may get in trouble (at most, fired).
