‘Guizhou is a province situated in South West of China. It has a population of over 35 million residents with a GDP of $200 billion per year. It is a relatively poor and economically undeveloped province, but rich in natural, cultural and environmental resources.’ Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guizhou

In November 2018, to support Guizhou’s economic model, Jianzheng Cloud Platform was officially launched. Several high profile entities, including, local leaders, Sha Songtao of the China Electronic Commerce Association, representatives of various associations, entrepreneurs, and media attended the inauguration ceremony.

Jianzheng Technology’s “One City, One Product, One Packaging” new economic conference was held in the Sheraton Guiyang Hotel in Guiyang to “create a new economy model of one city, one product and one package in Guizhou. The three-dimensional, government-association-enterprise joint construction of Renhuai Sauce and Wine Jianzheng Platform was officially launched.

“Jianzheng’s green packaging and intelligent packaging will open up the entire big data and industrial CHAIN in Guizhou Province, realizing green environmental protection, product traceability, product preservation and product data collection.”

(Sidenote: could this be our industrial child chain?)

Some of the highlights of this platform:

Green packaging:

‘Zero glue, zero tape, green and environmental protection, one-time sealing; intelligent packaging: one thing, one code, one object, one core, full trace, one second to identify true and false; preservation technology: using negative ion technology, increase vegetables and fruits 3–15 days shelf life. This technological change will change many traditional business models and consumer attitudes.’

Delivers on National strategic policies and utilizes IoT with BigData with full end-to-end traceability:

‘The IoT smart packaging industry developed by Jianzheng Technology consists of five industries: QR code, RFID, packaging, cloud platform and digital printing. It truly responds to national policies and achieves green environmental protection and low cost.
Jianzhen Technology showed us the latest IoT smart packaging: the GS1 global unified identification system (1D code, QR code, RFID) on the packaging, all smart packaging With unique barcode, unique chip, unique network, unique video, unique number, unique packaging’

My thoughts:

So how does one achieve full end-to-end transparency without using Blockchain? I believe, Blockchain will be the underlying technology that would drive everything on top - IoT Big Data and AI. Blockchain provides the trust and transparency that’s currently missing from the data, without necessarily relying on any one entity.

Based on the infographics provided on the subsidiary’s website, I think Waltonchain has a significant role in developing/supporting this solution, especially with our hardware expertise and unique cross-chain communication.

Is it possible that Jianzheng Platform has the monopoly on the supply chain of the entire province (and perhaps beyond)? Perhaps, especially given the fact that several high profile govt. officials attended the inauguration.

When words like ‘packaging standardization’ and ‘national policies’ are used, it implies that Waltonchain could potentially be working towards a much bigger plan. This can be further confirmed from a previous article where Waltonchain’s CEO Mo Bing attended the National Standardisation Administration, alongside, Tencent, Ant Financial and Matrix AI Network.
