You can’t fix diversity in tech without fixing the technical interview. Here’s the data.

Serious question: Why do we even need more women in IT? Can’t we just live with the fact that men and women tend to prefer different fields of science or jobs? And how do you want to achieve a bigger percentage of women in IT jobs when there are almost none of them studying it? Fixing the interview system won’t make more women want to study for IT jobs. It just doesn’t work that way.

If we want to have more girls showing interest in e.g. programming (and I still don’t see any reason why we should want that) we have to change the whole education system that more or less tells girls that computers are a “boy’s thing”.
