Great article! I’ve always felt that most design disciplines have found a pretty good balance between the emotive and functional(magazine design is highly emotive, but we have no trouble navigating an issue of FastCo). It’s mostly that web design is playing catch-up because the functional / technical aspect is evolving so quickly that it tends to absorb so much effort and attention. Great to see a push to really make the emotional experience a priority.
