Ila
Ila = a multifunctional design to cover most basic functions in a room.
I have been personally developing and trying out this piece of furniture, and now after more then a year of empiric exercise, it’s safe to say that this object has potential to cover most basic functions within a home environment.
This rather abstract object is potentially a chair/bench, a bar stool/high chair, coffee table, bed side table, a normal table, a high table and kids chair and table, depending on how you put it.
I have been playing with measurements and came up with some figures that you can play with to get this multifunctional module.
As you can see I noticed a similarity between the height of a bar stool and table leg, so if you have two modules and place a tabletop on it, you could have a table.
I also noticed the similarity between the height and depth of a bench/chair and a high table. When you put two modules on top of each other you get a high table.
The bar in the middle is to have more strength to the object in general and to serve all functions.
