I had wondered recently why google got behind on self-driving cars suddenly when they were actually ahead for so long. it makes sense that they were robbed… sad for them, but high-stakes competitions rarely care about laws

kind of pessimistic about them getting justice…. remember Netscape? they won the case eventually but it was too little too late

uber might have already developed an alternate system based on the stolen designs that barely escapes infringing on google’s design, they will happily pay a “hefty fine” and stay ahead of the competition

like how samsung had to pay $1 billion for stealing apple’s design and getting to number 2 position in a $400+ billion dollar industry…
