War of Coins Arena Demo Setup
As this article was written during the launch of our demo, the layout and content may vary, but the functionality will remain the same.
AS OF FEB 2, 2024: War of Coins Arena Demo has been launched onto Mumbai (Polygon) testnet. At the moment, please only use your desktop browser, mobile browser, and MetaMask’s in-app mobile browser to try the War of Coins demo. We are currently building support for TokenPocket — use with caution and let us know if you encounter any issues. Please be advised that only one wallet extension can be enabled at a time.
You will need the following tokens for the testnet demo:
MATIC (testnet): for gas fees.
WUSD: War of Coin’s virtual token in lieu of $USDT. (0x3139A40D80fe70C8e2B46eeF9E0e7b5288c6F40d)
ORDI: War of Coin’s virtual token in lieu of $ORDI. (0xfC27cf45fD2D928ad83B3041EF4676d6f84586a9)
To get $MATIC (testnet):
Visit https://mumbaifaucet.com/ to request $MATIC — you may need to follow their instructions if this is your first time requesting $MATIC.
To get $WUSD and $ORDI:
First time users: Simply connect your wallet to any War of Coins app. War of Coins will automatically provide you with WUSD and ORDI. Contract address: https://mumbai.polygonscan.com/address/0x9099b4522b717942a36a013672238cbc006d72a5
War of Coins Arena Tutorial
Step 0: Connect your wallet on https://demo.arena.warofcoins.com/.
Step 1: Choose an asset from the top tab. Currently, the demo only supports $BTC and $ETH.
Step 2: Decide on the price direction on the right and review the profit table. If you’re bullish, you’d buy a call. If you’re bearish, you’d buy a put. Take note of the remaining time that is left for the options purchase window as options will mature 30 minutes after the purchasing window closes. Purchase windows start at every hour.
Step 3: Commit to the direction by clicking on the “BUY CALL” or “BUY PUT” button at the bottom. Please note the selected token as that will be used to purchase the option.
Step 4: A popup will appear. Decide on the amount you want to use to purchase the option. After clicking the buy button, a popup will ask you to enter in an amount. During the demo phase, War of Coins will take $WUSD in lieu of $USDT, and $ORDI in lieu of (real) $ORDI.
Step 5: Another popup will remind you to authorize the correct amount in order to proceed.
Step 6: Your connected wallet will show a popup asking to authorize the amount. Type in the same amount and then click “Next”.
Step 7: Approve the amount on your wallet.
Step 8: A popup on the Arena will show up asking to confirm your options purchase.
Step 9: A popup will show up on your wallet to confirm your options purchase.
Step 10: Options purchase complete!
Step 11: Navigate to the “Position” tab to view your open contracts. You can watch the price move in real-time according to the price ladder you purchased for your options contract.
Step 12: Once the contract closes, navigate to the “History” tab to view the results!
Step 13: View your profits and rewards by clicking your account address on the top right. You can check your profits for different tokens and choose to withdraw the funds to your wallet. You will earn $WARC rewards for trades but since this is only the demo, your $WARC rewards will not transfer to mainnet once we launch. However, your token boxes will “open” and grant you the $WARC rewards once on mainnet.
