This is quite the reach. You have to go back to 1964 to try to make your point about modern society. I think it’s safe to say that literally nothing is the same at this point. Do you think Michelle Obama gets beaten after giving a speech at the DNC? The times have changed. To say they haven’t is very naive. Oh, speaking of Obama. What about Obama? He’s a 2-term black president. Not only was he able to vote, but he was able to run for president. And he won. Twice. Yeah, it’s just like 1964.

There’s not one right that a white person has that a black person doesn’t. There are many privileges that black people have that white people don’t. So don’t even try to claim otherwise as you do below.

“Fifty-two years later, black men and women across the nation continue to face many of the same challenges Hamer described.” That’s complete BS, and you know it. I can’t believe a PhD and professor at a university could say such a thing. People will trust what you say as truth. There’s a responsibility that comes with the title that you are completely abusing to spread lies.

Yes, there will always be individuals who are racist, and that includes black people. But as an institutionalized thing, discrimination against color is over (LGBT may be another story). So, no, no one faces the same challenges as Hamer. Not one person. This was a terrible thesis.

Thank you.
