“Joker” review

I watched Joker a couple days after I was brought to a psychiatric center by my family, and some of the lines in the movie are quite relatable to me. Definitely not gonna be thorough, but here are some of my thoughts.

The scene of the joker being dragged out of the police car and laid on the hood, as if he was the hero of everyone’s. he stood up and smeared the blood across his face to make him more of a psycho. And people were cheering him up. It is like the moment when the king is crowned. He is validated by people for the first time in his life, as he mentioned before that he felt like he had never existed.

What a beautiful scene, but it reminds me of the musical “ notre dame de paris” There was a scene where Quosimodo were crowned as the king of the fools. The only time that both of them were loved and embraced by people is because of their freakiness. Ironically, it’s also the only time that they feel accepted.

However, the reason those people in Gotham city are having a riot and making joker their leader is that maybe just maybe the sound they are making could be loud enough so the rules can be changed and the standard of their living will increase.

Well, let’s say they came to a compromise with the government, and the social welfare is better. Will the Joker still be a hero, or he will just be a fucked up serial killer?

Life is a gamble ,folks. The politicians know how to play it the best, delivering speech combining facts and opinions with a good punch line. People will buy it as long as it benefits them.

Life is so short, why not be a joker, place the bet and turn your life around.

psssst, jk. place the bet and turn your lighter on, cuz the world is a freak show. pick a front row seat and enjoy:)
