a few years ago, I traveled to Burgundy via the kind invitation of Atout, France. They wanted me to drink wines I’d never be able to afford in places that made the eating of truffles and stinky cheeses seem like everyone is rich. When I am far from. But the truffles were interesting enough, just not on everything, but I digress. Wine is a cultural thing. I write about it for DrinkupNY and try, try so very hard to introduce people to wines that speak of the place, not of Robert Parker’s fruit forward sense, but my earth driven palate.
