Proud of her for staying alive when I’m sure she didn’t want to be. Proud of her for always making me feel loved even when she probably never felt that way herself. Proud of her for not giving up.
Tears for my Mom

I was perfectly fine until I read this part. absolutely destroyed my tear ducts because I totally get this. As someone with deaf parents, I agree that a job is a job — neither of my parent went to post secondary and only got jobs in the city [as janitors] they’re in because of a family friend. Good on you for writing this: stay strong :]
