Here are the instructions for scheduling messages, but forget the typical boring manual:
- Open the chat, that battlefield where your words are your most powerful weapon.
- Type your message or select the media you want to send. But don’t hit the send button yet, don’t be impatient.
- Look for the clock icon below (as the image shows), click it and let the calendar spread its wings.
- Choose the date and time when your message will be sent. Remember, the minimum time you can set is 5 minutes.
- Now, hit “Schedule” (the clock icon will change colour to indicate it has been scheduled correctly), and then, yes, finally, press “Send”.
- Your scheduled message will initially appear in the chat with a faded background and the time indicated for its sending. Afterwards, it will move to the “scheduled” section.
And there you have it, in the blink of an eye, your message is ready to be sent.
Important notes to save time and avoid headaches:
If you switch between chats and return to the one with scheduled messages, they won’t appear directly in the conversation. But, who needs to see them there when you can take a peek at the “scheduled” section with just one click?
Now, if what you need is to get your hands on a scheduled message, like copying or deleting it, look for that little arrow in the top right corner of the message bubble and choose your option.
And here comes the dilemma of the day: copy or clone? When you expand that menu we told you about, you’ll find two actions that seem identical but are not: “copy” allows you to replicate the message text to use it wherever you want. “Clone”, on the other hand, is a different story; it gives you the pass to open the “create message” window and start a new process with another scheduled message, which you can send to the same contact or group, or a completely different one. There you have it, the power of creation in your hands.
