Totally on point. I’ve been watching my personal network go off the rails and feeling it at home with my family as well. So much of it just creates political cynicism in all of us that there’s nothing we can do about it, it’s too complex, we expect the next news to be horrible (and we’re too addicted in even the negative dopamine response not to look).
Rogin had some interesting thoughts on the creation of political cynicism from drummed-up reporting on the progressive side. I think there’s a strong correlation with filtering and limiting ourselves better and what you said — “I think it may make me more ready and energized for action.”
