Here is something I have always wondered about the early universe.. Originally there was almost a balance of particles and anti-particles. At some point most of these pairs annihilate away, leaving a relatively small residual amount of matter. All the rest have become energy. This implies that, by mass or the equivalent energy, almost all of the universe should be energy. But I’ve also read that only a small fraction of the universe is normal (not dark) energy. What is the explanation for this?
