Untouchable

You see me with your brightness,

your lightness, eyes on me

and I know I want you

to come to me,

I can only let you look, never see,

I am blind, I need your eyes to

adore me, respect me,

your fingers and lips to touch,

define my ghostly skin

but only on the outside,

don’t slip inside and caress me within

I am unclean, unknowable,

untouchable.

No one can find me,

I am not even here.
