INTRODUCTION

We are masters of hearing what we want to hear. Indeed, we tend to think we know what is going on around us.

We tend to think we are wise, and we tend to think we understanding about our lives and our segregated communities, behind our gated neighborhoods.

We carry guns, and stand our ground. However, in really, we are deaf, we are blind, and we are brainwashed to consume more to be more.

We are walking in circles, around and around. Doing nothing but being bored.

Sadly, we don’t ever hear the real pain that people are actually suffering from in these multiverses.

Therefore, we walk by the homeless daily, so we can buy food that is poisoned, so we can consume more than we ever use.

This pandemic is not new. We have had many throughout history. The ironic lesson about history is that we never learn.

We fight terrible wars. We fight to change our politics. The real lesson is that we hear but we never listen.

Women are still paid less than men for the same work.

African Americans are still enslaved within our system of oppression. Asians are still scapegoated in America.

Mexicans are still not welcomed.

This can change if we change how we hear the silent screams. Mindful listening is about being compassionate and shutting up.

Just listen without judging. Become compassionate.

Try it and you might see that there is hope for our future. I will present different ways of listening.

Thank you.

Please clap, comment and read more. I will start to read your entries.

Unfortunately, I was not able to present because of my cancer treatments.
