WBD to Support the Implementation of USAID Private Sector Engagement Policy

USAID awards contract for services in D.C. and globally

WASHINGTON — The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a contract to Washington Business Dynamics (WBD) and its teaming partners, Booz Allen Hamilton and Planet Partnerships, to manage its new Private-Sector Support Mechanism. The five-year, $33 million contract will support USAID in implementing its flagship Private Sector Engagement Policy, announced by Administrator Mark Green in December 2018.

USAID’s Private Sector Engagement policy helps mobilize private capital to accelerate countries’ “Journey to Self-Reliance” by financing their own development. Through the new Private-Sector Support Mechanism, WBD and its partners will provide technical assistance, data analytics, communications, conference support, and training on private-sector engagement approaches to USAID headquarters and mission staff worldwide.
