There is nothing in your article that isn’t true, but it falls prey to the same “bias” that mainstream media is prone to have. You’re right that it’s not about race, it’s about politics, and as atrocious as Standing Rock was (and is), to think that its a mainstream media issue as to why Neo-Nazi’s & white supremacists received more attention is simply wrong in my opinion. I do believe Standing Rock deserved more attention than it received, I also believe corporate interests play far too great a role in both government and media. However when you bring up the Psyops argument, that corporate media is state media, your credibility disappears. Not because there isn’t any truth to it, but because it overstates it to the point where your valid points become questionable. If your goal was to get people to question what they hear, see, read etc., how exactly is that different from what the President is doing? And if none of these outlets are to be trusted, then who is? Raw facts? Raw facts have not been a part of the news since Biblical times. Those of us who want to know what’s going on, take the time to find people or organizations we trust and spend most of our limited time there. Even in those cases where someone does their due diligence, we’re all still human, and are more likely to choose the journalists that agree with our pre-existing world-view. So let’s get really honest with ourselves and admit that in any case where we aren’t there ourselves to witness whatever is happening, that no single source is going to do the trick, but at least in the case of “mainstream” media, there’s a chance that when someone misleads or lies, they will be held accountable. No one is holding “independent” journalists accountable, which seems pretty convenient. There is nothing “woke” about that. It’s all narrative, it’s all spliced and diced, it’s all agenda. Your piece, while far better written than my commentary, feeds the very narrative you hope to destroy better than anything the “state” could ever come up with.
