Facts about Moses from the Bible

Moses is a central figure in the Bible and the most important prophet in Judaism. He is considered the leader of the Israelites and the person God chose to lead them out of slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land. He is also the author of the first five books of the Bible. Moses received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai and delivered them to the Israelites. He also performed many miracles, such as turning a staff into a serpent and the Nile into blood, to convince the Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery. Moses also played an important role in the formation of Israelite laws, institutions and practices. Moses died before the Israelites entered the Promised Land, but his legacy lived on through the Israelite people.
