Snort. Life is so hard in the incoherent position of claiming as “conservative” in the United States the defense of our distinctively liberal Constitution. You are undoubtedly correct that Trump exhibits zero respect for or understanding of our Constitution. You sniff at Anne Coulter for trying to sell more books, but then, what has “conservatism” in the U.S. ever been but a device to sell more of something? It’s what Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck all have in common — hucksters in the name of “conservatism.” Which is all Donald Trump has done: perfect that dark art. One really has to guffaw when you object to linking to white nationalist accounts — so you exclude the essays explicitly defending racial segregation by your eponym? They’re not hard to find — just do a google “buckley racial segregation.” The National Review is positively proud of him for having bravely defended the white race from the teeming dark skinned hordes. Real conservatives revere history. You haven’t even bothered to look at it. To borrow a term, sad.
