“Page by page, this is how we go on.”

As you read The Hiding Place page by page, you begin to get more and more interested. In The Hiding Place, Corrie, her sister Betsie, and her father try to help the Jews escape from all the chaos in their country. But the family does many things which is against their country’s rules. Which caused Corrie and Betsie to get sent to concentration camps.

Corrie, Betsie, and their father would face death when it came to save a Jew. The Germans were coming to Holland to invade it. The German’s watch companies were being shut down so they wanted to go invade the Corrie’s. There was so much suffering and deaths, and the people didn’t understand why God was allowing that. So, the Ten Boom family began to lead people to the safe places or known as “the hiding places.”

The characters overcame their adversity by letting their faith in God be stronger than their problems. Corrie turned each of her problems over to God and let him handle them. While Corrie and Betsie were at the concentration camps, they were faced with so many hardships and obstacles. But they were able to make it through them and finally were released from the camps. Corrie ten Boom once stated, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” Always trust in the Lord and he will help overcome your hardships.
